Bittersweet_Final_Full_Wrap

From two USA Today bestselling authors comes a tale of miscommunication and muffins.
Romy Love knows weddings. As the author of a hugely successful wedding blog, you’d think she’d have love covered. It is her last name, after all.
When it comes to her big day, Romy has the flowers picked out, a dress collecting dust in the back of her closet, and a preacher on standby. There’s just one problem: the groom doesn’t know it yet.
Romy has eyes for the Italian coffee god and single dad who owns the bakery in her building—she also has plans for his delicious buns—but in order to get her happily-ever-after, she has a few things to check off her list first:
Lose twenty pounds
Take over the blogging world one wedding at a time
Make Coffee Hottie fall in love with me
Yeah, this shouldn’t be difficult at all.

The writing in this story is so seamless it was impossible to tell which author wrote which part. Two authors writing one book can sometime go so wrong but this one went so right. I finished it in 2 hours!

From the very beginning I wanted Romy & Elio to work out. The chemistry between these two jumps off the pages and is just sizzling. As with all good stories there is a little twist in this one. I am not going to tell you what it is but the moment all is revealed and everything comes to a head is one of my favourites. When you get to that bit you will see what I mean.

Romy is a darling. She has a good heart and tries every day to be the best she can be and move on with her life.
Elio is a man any woman would be lucky to have. He is charming & successful and knows exactly how to treat a woman.
On paper they are perfect, but throw in some angst and some major communication and the both of them will be left questioning if it is really meant to be.

Romy’s parents are funny but like to meddle. Elio’s sister is a hoot. She gives lots of laugh out loud moments, but, she also likes to meddle. Between them all it is easy to see why Romy & Elio get frustrated!

This book is one that you want to one click and hide away for a couple of hours of uninterrupted reading!

Review by: Flavia

What an enjoyable read. Frustrating but enjoyable. I love these two characters but I seriously wanted to wack Elio and Romy and tell them to just speak to each other.
Romy has a blog all about love and weddings and planning your wedding, and all she wanted was her own happily ever after, and maybe it's the hottie in the coffee shop she frequents. If only she would have the courage to tell him how she feels. But after what happened with her ex, Romy knows that Elio won't be interested in someone like her.
Elio has been lusting after Romy for a while but he's scared of how she would react when she finds out he's a single dad. And he will do anything to protect his little girl. But can he trust Romy with his heart and his little girl.
A lot of miscommunications and a lot of longing looks, can these two get their issues sorted before it's too late? Or will Romy find her happiness with someone else

Lots of angst and suspense and all they needed was to be open and honest with each other. Awesome story. Can't wait to see if the best friend and the sister gets their own book☺️❤️

Excerpt:

Confident I no longer look like a cave troll, I grab my keys and wallet and rush downstairs. Elio is just turning the sign in the window when I virtually slam my body against it because I was running full-tilt down the stairs, and I can’t slow my velocity. He gives a startled laugh, and I flame bright red. Elio abandons his ‘closed sign and opens the door.“Hey.” “Hi. Sorry about that.” “Couldn’t wait to see me, huh?” His eyes burn with mischief. I blush and desire arcs through me, because really, it should be illegal for anyone to look that delicious in jeans and a T-shirt with a dishtowel slung over his shoulder. “Ha! Yeah.” I shake my head.“I mean no. I mean, Coffee. I’m lagging. Please, I’m really sorry. I know you’re closed and you wanna get home, and why wouldn’t you? It’s not like you want to stay at the shop all day when there’s wine to drink and cheese to nibble and classic books to read.” He frowns.“That’s your impression of me? That I nibble cheese while reading classic literature.” “And the wine,” my mouth supplies unhelpfully. He chuckles.“You may need a crash course in what men do after work. Here’s a hint: it’s not nibbling anything. Unless, of course, it comes to ear lobes.” Oh, wow. Okay. I would definitely prefer that to an expensive gouda. He grins.“Come on. I’ll do you better than just a coffee.” “Excuse me?” I squeak. Now he laughs outright.“Relax,Romy. My nonna is here, my sister too, and a bossy four-year-old. I promise, I won’t bite.” Not even if I want you to?
