followed my best friend to London thinking it would be an adventure

dragging me to her weekly bingo outings.
No matter how gnarly I am, she always comes back for more with her long legs and her loud mouth.
I don't need her in my life, even if I find myself thinking about her, her lips, her body...I don't need her.

This story was every bit as emotional as the first, War Poppy. I cried like a little baby during the majority of this story, it was that good. These characters are so well developed and written that they seem to jump off the pages and play out their story right in front of your eyes. They storyline is incredible, such an emotional journey these characters are on, each separately and then together. Reading War Poppy is not essential to knowing what is going on in this story, however it made a much better impact on me having known what went on before. I cannot say enough good things about this story without giving anything away. I will leave you with this warning: Have plenty of tissues ready!

I didn't think they had it in them. Seriously. If you know how War Poppy ended then you can understand why I was questioning my sanity by signing up to read another story connected to it. Thankfully, this one had a different feel to it. Still just as much brooding, sexiness as before, just on a different level.
Hope is a fireball. With the red hair and attitude to back it up, anyone that has the patience for dealing with her is a saint.
Chaos isn't something that Finn deals with well. He likes things to be structured and to be in place, organized. So when Hope keeps inserting herself into his life, she brings chaos with her. He can't stand it. But like most things chaotic, when they stick around for a while they become the new norm. No matter how much he tries to push her away, she keeps coming back. At first it's annoying, until he realizes that he has come to expect and like Hope's form of loyalty.
I was guarding my heart with a steel plate while reading. Hoping for the best and expecting the worst. I've come to wonder what kind of crazy these two authors can bring. I didn't expect that in the form of a foul mouthed, bingo loving, Colby Keller obsessed, ginger. The story wouldn't have been the same without her though. She balanced out the storm that seemed to take residence inside of Finn's head, the one that kept him locked away from everyone.
It's obvious that I loved every word of this story. If they write it, I'll read it. Sweet, depraved, obscene; in some twisted sense, it's their own form of romance. It sure does make me fall in love with the characters.
