Dirty Money (Roughneck Billionaires) by Jessica Clare • FMR REVIEW

ABOUT Dirty Money:

Southern Texas heats up when four roughneck billionaires set their sights on love in the new series from New York Timesbestselling author Jessica Clare.

Boone Price and his brothers know oil; at least, the dirty, backbreaking side of working an oil rig. But when their scrubby, worthless hunting land turns out to be sitting on top of one of the biggest oil wells in North America, they go from the rig to the boardroom and end up billionaires practically overnight.

Now with enough money to do whatever he wants, Boone is developing a taste for fine things. And the finest thing he's ever seen is Ivy Smithfield, local realtor. Boone's determined to buy her affection and show the world that he's more than just a dirty fool with a bit of money. Ivy's classy and beautiful - she'll make the perfect trophy wife. The fact that she's sexy and funny is just a bonus.

There's one tiny problem - Ivy's as dirt poor as Boone is. Her carefully crafted veneer of luxury? All an act to promote her business. What's Boone going to do when he finds out the woman he's falling for is, well, in his league?

Review by: Flavia

This book surprised me, it is also the first Jessica Clare book I ever read and I must say that I loved it.
It was funny, sweet, a bit weird a bit unexpected, but it was good

Boone Price is a total hillbilly, the only difference is, is that he's a billionaire. And that is the problem, because of the way he looks and talks, people don't take him serious and don't respect him.
So he needs to change that, and that means finding him a classy lady (and not necessarily burning down a golf course because you didn't like the way the people treated you, lol) (oh yes it happened, lmao)
Ivy is real estate agent who is trying to get to the top, but she is also someone who has a sister who wants to go to college and Ivy is trying everything in her power to make that happen and also keeping on the lights of their little trailer.

So Boone thinks that Ivy is the perfect one for him when he sees her picture on a real estate ad. So he is going to buy himself a freaking mansion and get himself a classy lady and then maybe he will get the respect he deserves.

This book was hilariously funny and sweet and its about two hardworking people trying to find their place in society. One who achieved that but still doesn't feel excepted and the other one pretending that she is a classy lady when all she is, is just someone who is looking to earn enough money to keep the lights on and take care of her sister and to escape the childhood that she had.

Definitely a top read for me, and if you are tired of the rich business man billionaire series' then this one is for you.

P.s This is how I picture Boone Price

And by the way he has 4 other brothers... So definitely worth continuing this series.

5 Stars
