How can I give this book anything other than 5 stars? This book in the series had the most emotion in it for me. Sure, Noelle has known everyone from the past books in the series, but I feel like she broke down and showed more of her softer side in this one. The investigation hit closer to home for her.
Drake and Noelle have grown so much throughout the series. To go from practically hating each other to knowing and loving each other's quirks is like moving mountains for them. Living together, sharing that much space, plus practically working together can prove challenging, but they make it work.

"You're a pain my ass Bond!" "I know. It's in my job description."

I'm pretty sad to be getting closer to the end of this series. I recommend it to everyone I can because it's just that good. It's suspenseful, gut-clenching funny, with a bit of romance thrown in. Noelle Bond feeds to my inner snarky side. She's one of the strongest heroines that I've ever read. She takes no bullshit. If you mess with her she'll pull her gun on you faster than you can blink. Truly. You add Drake Nash in and I have my perfect couple.
And I can't forget Nonna. She'd come to life and scold me in Italian if I did. While in the rest of the series, she and Noelle have always gotten along for the most part, Nonna pushes a lot of Noelle's buttons in this one. The clash more than usual.

I can't say enough good things about Emma Hart and this series. It's one that I know that I'll be able to go back and read time and time again. Droelle will always hold a special place in my heart.
