Six foot six inches, broading , sexy, beautiful hair, mysterious Oscar meets voluptuous, confident, independent, sexy Natalie. Well, meet is a strong word. More like they mutter a few words and then participate in a running of the cows. This story was just that - the cream of the crop. I thought I would have a hard time loving a couple more than I did Leo and Roxie, but Oscar and Natalie are a whole different kind of fantastic.
Oscar is a man of few words. His vocabulary consists of grunts and hmphs and hi. Natalie is ...she's so amazing. I don't think I've ever connected with a heroine as much as I did her. She's curvy, has a great comma big ass, and she owns all of it. She struts her way up and down the streets of NY leaving a wake of men behind her. She doesn't let them walk all over her. She's not afraid to talk to them, until she meets Oscar. She stumbles all over herself and becomes a shy, blubbering mess. Put all of this together and it's going to take a miracle to actually bring these two together.
I can't say enough great things about this book. I loved the back and forth, the details being put into place, the true feelings being brought to light. I couldn't get enough. And then when everything started going to a place where I didn't want them to go, I got all tense and cold because I got nervous. I didn't have long to go before the book was over and I didn't want to wait for another book. So naturally I put everything off as long as I could and did nothing but read. It's all worth it.
Natalie is now my hero. The way she holds herself and operates is breathtaking. She's my new favorite heroine. Just read the damn book. This is Alice Clayton we're talking about.

Alice Clayton delight's us with the second novel in the Hudson Valley Series with Cream of the Crop. Natalie is a city girl who get tempted into the country life when
she has the opportunity to research Bailey Fall and dairy farmer, Oscar. I instantly fell in love in Natalie. She was such a fun, witty, and full of confidence. She is a plus size heroine but she owned it! Oscar seemed a little shy at first, I couldn't get a good read on him at first but once I got to know more about him, I really liked him.
I really like the story line. These are two people who seem like the complete opposites, city vs. country, but they have the mutual ground with their love of cheese. There are several laugh out moments and several moments when I just wanted to yell at the characters but it all worked out in the end. While I loved the story, there were times when I found there to be some unnecessary descriptions that really didn't do anything for the story. And these parts could have been left out and still would have been a good story. Overall, it was a great addition to the series and I can't wait for the next!
