Scarred Souls: Raze & Reap by Tillie Cole ♥ FMR REVIEW

The first two books in the Scarred Souls series, in one volume!

ABOUT Scarred Souls

RAZE
One man stripped of his freedom, his morals... his life. Conditioned in captivity to maim, to kill and to slaughter, prisoner 818 becomes an unrivaled and unstoppable fighter in the ring. Violence is all he knows. After years of incarceration in an underground hell, only one thought occupies his mind: revenge... bloody, slow and violent revenge. Revenge on the man who wronged him.

Kisa Volkova is the only daughter of Kirill 'The Silencer' Volkov, head of the infamous 'Red' bosses of New York's Russian Bratva. Her life is protected. In reality, it's a virtual prison. Her father's savage treatment of his rivals and his lucrative and coveted underground gambling ring-The Dungeon-ensures too many enemies lurk at their door. She dreams to be set free. Kisa has known only cruelty and loss in her short life. While working for her church-the only reprieve in her constant surveillance-Kisa stumbles across a tattooed, scarred, but stunningly beautiful homeless man on the streets. Something about him stirs feelings deep within her; familiar yet impossibly forbidden desires. He doesn't talk. Doesn't communicate with anyone. He's a man beyond saving. But Kisa becomes obsessed with him. Yearns for him. Craves his touch. Needs to possess this mysterious man... ... this man they call Raze.

REAP
Raised as a prototype for the Georgian Bratva's obedience drug, 221 fails to think, act or live for himself; his master's perfectly-crafted killing puppet. Standing at six foot six, weighing two-hundred and fifty pounds, and unrivalled in to-the-death combat, 221 successfully secures business for, the Georgian Mafiya Boss of NYC, in the dark world of the criminal underground. Until his enemies capture him.

Talia Tolstoi dreams to break from the heavy clutches of Bratva life and dreams of another life-away from the stifling leash of her Russian Bratva Boss father, from the brutality of her work at The Dungeon-her criminal family's underground death match enterprise. But when she stumbles upon her family's captive who is more monster than man, she starts to see the man underneath. A powerful, beautiful, damaged man whose heart calls to hers.

Scarred SoulsRaze & Reap. Two amazing books in one bundle.
This author has shot right to the top of my favorite author list. TillieCole knows not just her fighters but also the human spirit.
Raze comes back from a hell that no man should ever have to enter. And he did it as a simple boy child. He's broken and hard. Full of hate and anger. But Raze comes back from HELL beautifully.
With lines like, "Can I have you?" and "This I will feel in my heart." Tillie Cole shows us why she's one of the very best.
I found myself squeezing my eyes shut as I read this book. (hoping that it would ease the squeezing of my heart, I guess.)
Kisa was truly my hero in this book. This girl...gah! She was so strong even though her upbringing wasn't very liberal. She listened to her heart, her soul. I sighed when she found her Luka again.
And as for bad guys? Good grief where in the world did this author dream up, Alik? Yea, I know he's just an imaginary bad guy, but I really wanted to kill him too.
This book! There just isn't anything else to say but Read This!

Reap is a book full of the cruelty that we as humans heap upon the heads of those that we perceive to have wronged us. This book also shows us how grudges can and do carry not just for a little while, but sometimes for generations.
221 is a drug crazed killer. He's big, mean and killing is all he knows. All he likes to do. And he's also controlled by a mad man.
There is a heart breaking history behind the man that is 221. There's also a very lost little boy hiding inside the body of a crazed killer.
Luca knows first hand what 221 is going through. What he's enduring. And because he made a vow; it's his duty to see that 221 gets the chance to live.
Talia is young, sweet, pretty and a little too trusting. She's grown up in a world that shows her first hand the reality of belonging in a powerful family.
Sometimes it's just too much.
And because of that she finds herself becoming obsessed with the giant in the basement.
History's collide and outside forces try to tear them apart.
But together Talia and 221 begin a new life of discovery together.
I don't know where Tillie Cole gets her lines, but "You are for me?" OMG! I actually felt my heart twist. One of the best lines ever!
I devoured this book bundle. You'll get pissed, you'll get happy, you're heart will hurt as Raze and Reap struggle to navigate the human world and rediscover where they came from.
You'll also feel.

Scarred Souls by Tillie Cole is two amazing books Raze & Reap....and I thoroughly enjoyed them both.

Raze was such a good read...Luka & Kisa stole my heart! They are the story of Soul Mates and how no matter how much time passes or where you go....your Soul Mate is and always will be the one you were made for "What ever our souls are made of his and mine are the same"

Reap was a bit darker to me but I always loved Talia and I'm so happy she found her soul mate with Zaal.  Watching their romance build and grow was so heart warming and amazing. Kinda like Romeo and Juliet they are both from 2 families at war but find a love they can't deny and won't give up "You are...for me.  I am....for you." Love it!!! They go thru so much but fight for what they have and what they want together.

These two books by the wonderful Tillie Cole are perfect and I loved Scarred Souls!!!

Scarred Souls is two amazing stories Raze and Reap. I only recently discovered Tillie Cole, she writes amazing books. Although both these books are very dark romances, that are quite heartbreaking the emotions they evoke are amazing. Both books have a great mix of romance, suspense and angst.

Raze is about two soul mates, who are separated by circumstances and death, only to find each other again many years later. The hero is Raze/818 who is deeply damaged from this life he has lived and wants revenge on the person responsible for everything. He has been trained to cause pain, draw blood and kill. All his innocence was stolen.

The heroine Kisa is strong, but grieving for her soulmate and twin brother, both she lost at a young age. Kisa feels an instant connection to Raze/818, but is engaged to another. Kisa feels her family responsibilities very strongly and is obedient and submissive to make her family proud. Kisa and Raze fight to be together.

I thoroughly enjoyed this book, although i found some of the scenes to be intense and difficult and very emotional to read. This book puts you through the emotional wringer, but is also very difficult to put down. I loved the connection the characters shared, and the love scenes were quite hot and explicit.

I really enjoyed Raze, but I loved Reap's story. This book is a powerful, gritty, intense romance that I was unable to put down. This book was an emotional roller coaster, sadness, laughter, tears, hope and happiness I felt it all.

212 was conditioned to hate, broken and scarred, such a lost and lonely soul. He is a slave and a killer, with only loyalty to his master.

Talia Tolstai is a Bratva princess sheltered, protected and stifled and she feels very alone. She is seeking love, wants her happy ever after, but despairs of finding it.
An unlikely pair with so many twists and turns its an amazing tale, of love overcoming all obstacles.

"You are...for me. I am....for you."

I loved how this book continued the story of the characters in Raze, and from the cliffhanger ending I am hoping there is another book to come. I can't wait for more.
