The Diary of Lexi Ashford: Part One by Jessica Sorensen ~ FMR REVIEW

ABOUT The Diary of Lexi Ashford: Part One

Lexi has always had a reputation for accidentally messing things up, but she never thought she’d be jobless and homeless at twenty-six. With no other choice, she returns to her hometown to do a little life searching.

Lexi quickly discovers a lot has changed in the eight years since she first left Fairville, a quirky little town in the middle of nowhere. Most of her best friends from high school are now married and have children, and her parents have sold their home and are now living in a loft above their store. One thing still remains the same, though. Anders, her old high school crush is still as hot as ever.

Determined to get her life back on track, Lexi starts searching for an apartment and a job. But during a crazy night at one of her friend’s bachelorette parties, she wakes up in Las Vegas, hungover and married to Evan, Anders' brother, a guy she barely knows. So much for getting her life back on track.

This was a quick, cute, hilarious book! Poor Lexi, it seemed what could go wrong, did go wrong with her. But she always had a smile on her face, that's what I liked about her. Even with everything going wrong she kept her head held high. I found the book to be well written and engaging. It had a good pace and kept the story moving. It does leave us hanging and the end but I am excited to find out what will happen next.

Lexi Ashford was a  freaking adorable mess that made this book so absolutely perfect to read. She had a heart of gold and dreams way beyond her small home town but she was perfectly clueless on how to make them stick. I loved the theme and characters in this book so much. Between Lexi's drive for more and her reality of not so as much, she becomes such a fun character to read.

I loved Lexi's drive and her klutzy nature!! She was cute and a couldn't help but fall for her. I wanted so much of this story from the absolute beginning of the book. Having her come home was when I really saw her character develop. She was sucked back into a life she thought she had forgotten only to be smack dab in the middle of it with a sexy stranger as her tour guide. Mysterious and familiar, Evan was a complete complement to Lexi's flighty nature. Mature and self made, Evan was the challenge she completely needed to get back on track.

This book was so great but way to short!! I wanted to much more from theses characters and waiting will be so hard. I liked the story and characters so much that seeing this series through will be fun. I recommend the book and can't want for more of Lexi and Evan's story...hopefully soon!!!
