I'm her to confess my sins! And by sins I mean the fact that I have not read a book by Alice Clayton since I read Wallbanger ages ago. Don't ask me why, I won't have a good enough answer. After reading a fantastic book by an author, I sometimes tend to have the mindset that "well, this book was amazing! Surely they can't write anything better than that? Right?" WRONG!! I'm kicking myself right now for doing that, for sabotaging myself, and neglecting all of the wonderful books that NEED to be read.
Nuts was just that - NUTS! It was phenomenal (<- is that really how you spell that?)! I'm going to go as far as saying it's my favorite romantic comedy I've read in...gosh, I don't know how long! Best RomCom of this year by far! It was hilarious, sweet, sexy, and it made me miss home. It made me miss living out in the country where everyone knew your name. You waved at everyone driving down the road regardless of if you knew them. You didn't even have to lock your doors at night. It made me miss it all. I laughed so hard at some of the situations that the two main characters got themselves in to. I was siting in the carline, waiting to pick up my son, and smiling like a lunatic. These types of books are my favorite! I'm not going to go into detail because I don't want to give anything away, but just believe me when I say you'll devour and love every single word. I didn't read the blurb before I read it. I judged it by its cover (GASP!), and I'm so glad that I did! Alice Clayton, you are a RomCom genius, and I thank you for giving ME (yes, I'm claiming him) Leo Maxwell!

I absolutely LOVED this book...I mean how could you not go bananas or NUTS over AliceClayton's words?? This latest book just solidifies my love for this author. She is surprisingly adorable with her stories and deliciously hilarious with her couples. Each couple possessing an extreme uniqueness that propels them into the hearts of readers like me. Roxie and Leo and definitely no exception.

I mean a foodie and a farmer... Totally different worlds yet here they are making nice in the small town where it all started for Roxie. The chance meet up at the family restaurant melds these unlikely characters together and sparks start flying. Seeing these two fumble and flop all over the small town is adorable and picturesque. The way the
Scenery was  described was truly amazing and made me feel as though I could smell the fresh leaves of summer lettuce and sweetness of strawberries.

I can't say enough good things about Alice's writing and characters because they are simple and extremely love able. Her writing draws me in and her characters make me never want the stories to end. I am so excited about this new series and can wait for more. Fantastic read and complete recommend...total 5 stars!!

Nuts was funny, sweet, and sexy...everything you would expect from an Alice Clayton book!!! I loved that the characters had the not so typical professions...we got a sexy farmer for a hero and a once shy personal chef for a heroine. And the hippie mom, she was a riot!!!

I really love the story line. My favorite scene was Roxie and Leo's first encounter. It was really hilarious and written in a really fun way. Roxie's character grew the most throughout the story and I really enjoyed reading about character evolving.

There were a few scene transitions that were hard to follow and I had to re-read. Also, there were a few parts that I felt were overly detailed but other than that it was well written. Overall, great book and super funny! I am looking forward to reading more books in this series!

I loved Alice Clayton's Cocktail Series so when I found out she was writing a new series I knew I just had to read them. Nuts is the first book of the new series. I laughed my butt off the entire time I read the cocktail series so I expected nothing less from Nuts. While I did enjoy this book immensely, I think my expectations were really high. I did laugh at the antics and situations Roxie got herself into, I just expected to laugh a whole lot more. Can't wait to see what she does for the next book!

MEET Alice Clayton:

ALICE CLAYTON worked in the cosmetics industry for over a decade before picking up a pen (read laptop).

She enjoys gardening but not weeding, baking but not cleaning up, and finally convinced her long-time boyfriend to marry her.

Now, about that Bernese Mountain dog.
