Sawyer Bennett is becoming one of my favorite go-to authors. I have loved every single book I have read by her and none of them have disappointed.
I loved the characters, especially Leary! She is a strong woman, who knows what she wants, and goes after it. I love reading heroines like that. And Reeve, he had that take control, alpha male thing going on that could turn any girl into a puddle. I really enjoyed that the two characters were opposing council on a case. It gave it that certain edge of danger, forbidden romance that made it interesting.
The story was well written and flowed together perfectly. I thought all the details were there and didn't get overly detailed. Once again, Sawyer Bennett delivered an outstanding book. Her books never seem to fail me. I highly recommend this book if you like hot alpha males, strong heroines, dirty talkers, drama, and a sweet romance all rolled into one amazing story.

I am again blown away!!! I swear I'm convinced that there isn't a book Sawyer writes that I won't LOVE!! This book was no exception. I mean HOOO-LEEE judicial hotness all steaming up the great state of N. Carolina. Leary & Reeve are so sophisticatedly sultry that I swear I'd love a front seat in any court room with those two representing.
Watching the story develop between Reeve & Leary throughout is book was steady and well thought out. The way the story wove the case they were each trying and their relationship development was brilliant. I was literally swiping pages like crazy to see what would happen next. Sawyer's background knowledge in law made this book amazing. It was as much law inspired as it was sexy, something else Sawyer writes well.
Character development was outstanding, story line was precise and clear and this book seriously had me hooked from the very beginning. The writing was so smooth and flawless it made finishing the book in one sitting amazingly easy. Completely recommend this book and anything else Sawyer writes.

Friction was the first book I've read in awhile with a heroine that I absolutely adored. Leary is an amazingly complex character. It takes the entire book to get past all the walls and get to the real woman inside. She is sex, confident, compassionate, strong, stubborn, and all the things most women aspire to be.
Reeves wasn't who expected him to be. I expected (because of his job) for him to be the typical arrogant, asshole lawyer. He really surprised me. He was like Leary in so many ways but almost felt like the softer of the two.
While I enjoyed the entire book I felt like we didn't get much of an actual storyline until about fifty percent of the way through. The beginning seem more about sex than anything else. It was good sex but I needed more from the story. The second half of the book delivered and I couldn't put it down.
