CASSIE by Jennifer Foor ~ BLOG TOUR & REVIEW

My name is Cassie Healy. I'm twenty-two years old and I've had to sneak around to be able to have a relationship with the man I love because of my overbearing parents.
So what if Brantley Moxin has a criminal record? He's who I chose to be with.
Leaving town was our only option. One night we packed up a few things and hit the road, bound for a new chance at a future together.
I thought it was going to be beautiful; something my parents would come to appreciate after time. Instead I've been thrown into a life I wouldn't wish on anyone. Now I have nowhere to go - a family obviously ashamed of what I've done.
This is my mess to clean up, and I'm afraid I'm in too deep for that to happen.

CASSIE:

Review by: Leeann

Cassie is a spoiled 20 year old little rich girl who is not getting her own way with her parents. She decides to run away with her criminal boyfriend and completely wipe her family from her life.

This sounds pretty straight forward but it's not at all. Her boyfriend Brant has groomed her and brainwashed her to do what he wants.  As the story progresses the manipulation is plain as day.
Cassie doesn't end up with Brant but you need to read the book to see the how, where and why on that part of the story.

Cassie is a young girl who has backed herself into a corner and can't see any way out.  Then she meets Logan and realizes  what she has done to herself. She suddenly has to grow up and act her age. She has been to hell and back, some of it self inflicted in desperation, but now it is time to reclaim herself.

At the beginning of this book I was wanting to shake sense into this girl. She was completely oblivious to what was happening right under her nose and she really was like a spoilt child throwing a tantrum. In saying that I could empathize with her when she realised what had happened to her life.
I did feel for Logan at times because Cassie really gave him a run for his money with her behaviour. But he is a genuine good guy. You can't help but like him. He has his own demons but finds he much prefers fighting Cassies instead.

By the end of the book I was proud of her. She got her self together and decided what she wanted to do with her life. She simply grew up. There were some details I would have liked to have seen happen but overall I did enjoy the story as a whole.

Well deserved 4 stars..
