Missing Dixie by Caisey Quinn ~ FMR REVIEW

Missing Dixie
(Neon Dreams, #3)
by Caisey Quinn

About Missing Dixie:

Fighting for redemption…

I’ve lived most of my life in darkness, beneath the shadows of secrets and addictions. The last thing I ever wanted to do was hurt the only girl I’d ever loved—the one who brought me into the light. In my entire life I’d made one promise—a promise I’d intended to keep. I’ve broken that promise and now I have to live with the fallout. Dixie Lark hates me, and I have to tell her that I love her. I also have to tell her a truth that might destroy us forever.

Can she love me even if she can’t forgive me?

Learning to move on…

Gavin Garrison broke his promise to my brother and he broke my heart in the process. I may never love anyone the way I’ve loved him, but at least I won’t spend my life wondering what if. We had our one night and he walked away. I’m finally beginning to move on when my brother’s wedding and a battle of the bands brings us back together.

Our band is getting a second chance, but I don’t know if I can give him one. How do you hand your heart back to the person who set it on fire once already?

Another beautifully written story by Caisey Quinn!!!! Missing Dixie is the conclusion of Dixie and Gavin's story from Leaving Amarillo. But as much as the story is about Dixie and Gavin, it was about a new character, Liam, as well. The author does such an amazing job bringing them all together in one cohesive story.

Poor Gavin, my heart broke for him. I just wanted to give him a big hug and comfort him. He just wanted to do right by Dixie, make things right but was in constant battle with himself. Gavin's full story was exposed in this book. He had a rough childhood and he didn't want to expose Dixie to that. He felt she had too much light to be exposed to the dark but Dixie was tired of the secrets and relationships don't work when secrets are involved. Then there is Dixie, the angel, always want to help, never judging. Gavin and Dixie seem to find common ground with Liam.

There is sooo much emotion in this story. Caisey does an amazing job putting it all into a story. It's a story about love...love for family, love for music, love for a complete stranger who comes out of nowhere but you know they are there for a purpose. I absolutely love this book and the whole series!!! Pick it up if you haven't all ready but you have to start at the beginning to get the full effect. Amazing job, like always, Caisey Quinn!!!!

So I have read this whole series and I have to say it was a perfect way to end it.

I don’t want to give away any spoilers but let me just say Dixie & Gavin learn a lot about each other
and about life in general in this final instalment.   Dallas is back & is almost new and improved. Robyn
proves that she is exactly what this group needs in times of hardship, she is the rational calm to everyone’s
crazy.
Gavin faces reality when a mirror is held in front of him in the form of a child named Liam. He sees a reflection
of his own life & finds himself making the choice to make some long overdue changes.
Dixie is as always, a woman with the biggest heart who wants everyone to feel loved and cherished. She carries the weight
Of the world on her young shoulders and needs to learn she can’t fix everyone, but she will bust her butt trying!

Caisey Quinn has brought this odd little family to life and her writing is flawless and captivating. It shows the ugly side of life but also
shines the light of hope into the darkness that lies beneath. Her characters growth is evident when you look at where they began
at the start of the series to where they finish up at the end of the final book.

If you like to read stories about how love can shine bright on the darkest of days & pull you through to the other side, about how blood
does not a family make and sometimes it’s the family you find a make yourself that gives you the unconditional love to get you through
when you need it the most, then I would recommend you one clicking this book and the whole series. You do need to read book 1 & 2 1st so you know
what is going on & where Gavin & Dixie are coming from or it may not make much sense.
I love the book, I loved the series & this author is now on my 1 click list of authors from now on!!

"She's  everything I ever wanted and the one thing I was never supposed to have." OH HOLY SMOKES this duo was so dysfunctionally hot I just couldn't stop reading.  Their love was the stuff songs were written about. Dixie and Gavin had the chance to grow up together. They knew each other inside & out and it took a long time to look at their relationship as more than friends. Caisey did an amazing job again with this third installment to this series. I was so drawn in to the music scene story line and fell instantly in love with the 3 main characters.

Gavin and Dixie were so made for each other and by God did they have a rocky road to come together. I absolutely loved this series for the sheer scope and depth of characters. Gavin was so wounded and hurt by his past and Dixie was the graceful song bird that attempted to heal him. Along with big brother Dallas, Dixie embarked on a journey of self discovery. In taking her time to learn who she really was, she found Gavin and really had no intention of letting him go.

This series held so much personal growth for all of the characters. From Dallas finding the love of his life, to Gavin and Dixie realizing that music is what healed their souls. They needed each other so badly, but the music made the desire so much sweeter.  Missing Dixie vol.3 is amazingly sweet, full of raw passion and sprinkled with sheer excitement for what was to come next. I absolutely loved this family of characters and am so sad to see them go. I can't wait for whatever Caisey has in the que for me to read next! Fantastic author, well written story and an absolute pleasure to read. I completely recommend this book and give it...

An easy 5 Stars!!
