Synopsis

Myah My life literally changed in the blink of an eye. I was happy, I was whole... and then my father died. Since then I haven't been the same. I've been battling inner demons as well as the ones on the outside--my mother the evilest of them all. It's time to take control of my life and Kyle Cooper makes me believe that I can.

Kyle I've been half in love with Myah Wilks for as long as I can remember. She's short and sassy--or she was until tragedy struck. Changes in her life left an opening for me, the one I've been waiting for and I'm jumping--with both feet. This amazing girl has more fight in her pinky than most people do in their whole body... she just needs to be reminded. She also needs to purge those demons and let her secrets go. Maybe, just maybe, she'll let me in and trust me with her whispered truths.

As I was reading this story, I found myself intrigue immensely by everything that was going on. This book gives you the reality of how teenagers act nowadays but this book also provides a lot more than that. There's a whole storyline that takes you by surprise upon surprise when you least expect it.

The author's plot concept is excellent and leaves a lot for more to come which is very exciting. While I was reading it, it was almost as if you can't help but reflect on your own life and think about the what if's...
It makes you think, it makes you feel, it makes you read until the end!
- time is not our friend, go and get it!

I don't like to give the long version of a review bc I don't want to spoil anything for other readers so take my word for it and grab a copy and find yourself immersed for hours before coming up for air.

Thank You Again Author Anne Mercier for a wonderful read and completely different from your Rocker Series that I also love, this was a refreshing change in genre!
3 words though - Need More Stew!!

Fantastic! Amazing! I could go on and on. So I will! While it is
slightly reminiscent of other books I have read, it has more
“my friends are my family” dynamic. This group of friends is
so incredibly tight knit. They are there for each other through
thick and thin.

I love Myah’s character. She is so strong and resilient. She
has decided to take no more crap off her awful mother and
has taken the steps to free herself of her for good. But she
doesn’t just take herself into account. She knows her friends
are her lifeline and includes them in the outcome. She makes
a place for everyone that means something to her.

Kyle’s character is very sweet, yet wildly protective. He too
has that same family closeness with their group and would
do anything for any of them.

Kyle and Myah have had the hots for each other for years but
never acted on it. Everyone in their group could see is plain
as day. When they decide to act on their feelings, nobody
gives them a hard time. Instead it is a lot a back slapping and
“finally”.

Things get ugly between Myah and her mother and
revelations are made that rock her world. She knows that she
will make it through because she has the love of Kyle and her
family.

I am so in love with this book and am hoping with fingers
crossed that this will be a loooonnnnggggg series with each

character getting their HEA.

“Baby, your life as you knew it is no more.” I loved this book!! I’m not sure if it was the blind faith, the mature nature of the characters or just the willingness to succeed that made me so enthralled with this book. I was drawn in and couldn’t stop reading until the book was done. This book had courage, love and so much dang sweetness that I was just smitten.

Myah was a fantastic lead character! She had so much heart and soul to give everyone she crossed paths with. She couldn’t allow the crappy hand she was delt to bring her down. She overcame all kinds of obstacles by just being lovable, easy going Myah. People were drawn to her and would protect her with their lives. In turn she would strengthen the bonds she built and her loyalty would be unwavering.

Enter Kyle…boy crush since the third grade and she could just feel the lust from across the crowded classroom. It was adorable to watch their school relationship grow and grow becoming amazing friends. These two made fumbling around with their feeling just a pleasure to watch. In fact, all of the supporting cast, friends for life, made this book amazing. In loved watching everyone take care of everyone. Even at a young age, these kids had more maturity than most adults.

This book was a great read for me. I really enjoyed the writing and flow of the book. The characters were fabulously developed and meshed great together. The storyline was interesting and had me hooked right away. I completely recommend this book! I can’t wait to read more from Anne because this introduction book for me was fantastic!

5 Star read all the way!!

Whispered Truths is a love story yes but it is so much more. It about loss and friendship and how those friends can quickly become your family. It’s about finding yourself and sticking up for yourself and persevering after so much pain.

I don’t want to give anything away in this review. Ann Mercier’s words are touching and at times raw. You can feel everything that these characters are feeling. The array of feels in this book was plenty.

The plot line, though some of it I had time believing, was interesting and fresh.  This isn’t your average best friends fall for each other story line it is so much more than that.

Anne creates this world that just sucks you right in and has you rooting so hard for the heroine in this story.  Though very much on the YA side, moments were pretty hot and the drama had me clenching my fists.
This was the great start to a new series and I cannot wait to see what comes next for these crazy kids!

Whispered Truths started off strong. Myah has had to deal with more than most young adults never thought they'd have to. After losing one parent and dealing with a boy at school, her mom also gives her hell at home. It's definitely not the easiest of situations, but she's a strong girl, which she continually shows throughout the story. It's a story of growth, strength, and maturity, all of which is shown through many characters. These kids grew up together and have survived the test of time, forming bonds that can survive just about everything. But even the strongest person can be broken.

I truly enjoyed this story, I just felt as though it ended too suddenly. I know we're getting another book, which is probably about someone else in the story, but I just felt like too much was left open. All in all, It was an easy read that I'm sure many will enjoy.

  Kyle

And, damn, she's got so many damn secrets. I can see them lurking beneath the surface but she has them locked up tight. It's going to take time to get her to open up enough to share them… if she ever does. Hell, it's going to take a long damn time until I can let her know how I feel, how I’ve always felt. I don't want to scare her away. At least we're getting a little closer. She's feeling more comfortable around me. In all the years we've hung out in our group, especially the last three with Lisa and Luc dating, she's always kept me at a distance. At first I thought it was because I had girlfriends, but even when I was single she didn't let me in. In truth, I'm jealous as fuck over her friendship with Stewie. They're almost as close as she and Lisa are. The jealousy clawed at my chest Wednesday night with a viciousness I'd never experienced before, and all because Stewie was touching her. It wasn't sexual by any means and his innuendos and flirting were harmless. He isn't into her like that, at least not anymore, not like I thought he was. At least I don't think so. Damn it. His parents are just as fucked up as Myah's mom. They trust and rely on one another and I know for a fact he doesn't want to ever fuck that up. Besides that, he thinks of Myah as more of a sister—well maybe not. Maybe it is more for him. He is her protector, her confidant, and it pisses me the hell off. I want that job. Maybe in time. I'll have to keep it slow and steady and not push or pressure her in any way, or I'm afraid she'll book it the hell out of my life and it'll all be fucked.
