The Rearranged Life by Annika Sharma ~ BLOG TOUR & REVIEW

The Rearranged Life Synopsis:
Nithya, a vivacious, intelligent and driven college senior has always known what she has wanted: a successful career in medicine and the love of her family. She's even come to terms with the idea of an arranged marriage, a tradition her conservative Indian family has held up for thousands of years.
When a night of partying puts her on a collision course with danger, Nithya's entire life changes.
Enter James St. Clair, the smart, challenging and heartbreakingly handsome American.
As Nithya and James fall in love, she questions the future she and her parents have always planned. Now, Nithya has a choice to make: become a doctor and a good Indian bride, or step away from her family and centuries of culture to forge her own path.
The decision she comes to takes her on a journey that transforms how she sees her future, her relationships with loved ones, and how she learns to put herself back together when even her best-laid plans fall apart

Review by: Sam

Everything about this sweet, beautifully descriptive, heart touching novel is such a breath of fresh air. It is completely unique in each and every way and I devoured every single word!
Culture, Beliefs and the importance of family are key elements of this story, making it so enticing to any reader.
Nithya is a young Indian-American, super intelligent and hilarious girl, with a beautiful heart. She also has a duty to her family---To become a doctor, to marry an Indian man who has been approved by her entire family, she must follow family traditions and stay true to her heritage!
Until James....The American boy with green eyes who has turned her whole world and beliefs on its axis! James and Nithya's chemistry was so real and beautiful, but in the eyes of her family it would be forbidden and Nithya would be going against everything she has ever known. At a family wedding, Nithya is introduced to Nishanth, he is the son of a respected Indian family, and deep down Nithya knows that things would be easier if she accepted and chose him, for both her family and herself, because it is what she is supposed to do right?
I won't spoil any of this story, because I truly believe it needs to be experienced personally. If you love YA/NA reads and want something different, then this is without a doubt the book for you!!!
The romance is just a small part of this story! It's EVERYTHING else that makes this book one to remember! The stunning description made everything so vivid, the love and loyalty between the family was written so perfectly, the friendships Nithya made were real, and the problems she faces as a young Indian American woman within her culture and society were really eye opening and an absolute delight to read!
This book will stay with me, will be one I recommend to everyone and will return to again and again!
It is fresh, it is unique and absolutely beautiful!!!
