Synopsis

USA Today bestselling author Mira Lyn Kelly cranks up the heat for two lifelong friends whose most secret longings come true in every delectable way.

Vivacious and successful, Ava Meyers is living her dream life, except for one thing: Ever since childhood, she’s been in love with her best friend . . . and she’s never admitted it. Back then, Sam Farrow was a damaged young man with a tough past. Now he’s supremely confident, super-sexy, and totally untouchable—until the night when Sam pretends to be Ava’s boyfriend to save her from some unwanted attention. In a moment of weakness, Ava finds out that a long friendship is no match for blistering sexual chemistry.

After years of denying his own feelings, Sam finds that one amazing night with Ava isn’t enough to chase away all the pent-up fantasies. So he proposes they spend a few weeks driving each other wild, exhausting their every desire, and then return to their perfect platonic relationship like nothing ever happened. But Sam’s plan has one fatal flaw: the part where they give each other up. Because the more they let go of their inhibitions, the more they’re tempted to never go back.

After reading lots of books that deal with best friends to lovers situations for months, I finally found one that meets my expectations. It's safe to say this would be my favourite from the bunch of new adult novels that deal with the same plot. The writer did a good job in capturing my attention from the first chapter. I was so intrigued and curious about the relationship between Ava and Sam, and to see its progression as the story went on.

Being best friends, they were really close and I could feel that sexual tension between these two characters even if they refused to acknowledge it. The intensity between them was real. Relationships, whether it be platonic or intimate, changes all the time whether it be for the better or worse. I really liked how Ava and Sam handled their relationship when it began to shift a little. Their decision to take it to the next level might be too impulsive for some people, but I respected their decisions because it really pushed them.

There were some moments that didn't make sense or I didn't really like the way it went, but this was one of the books where I just can't help but love despite its problems. This is one of those books that made me feel and connected me from start to end. A must read for anyone looking for a great and fun new adult novel.

Oh my gosh. This author is a new one for me and I was so excited to give Mira Lyn Kelly a try. I wasn't disappointed.
From the first page my attention was caught and at the very last word, my thoughts went sad because I knew Sam and Ava's story had ended.
This wasn't your average- In love with your best friend, story.
Sam and Ava have a history one that starts when they're both young. Ava 7, Sam somewhere around 10, I think. Anyway, without Ava and her family Sam wouldn't have found a way out of the circumstances that are his family life. Over the years, Sam and Ava grow a relationship that is based on a friendship that goes beyond Besties.
Sam knows everything about Ava. He goes through her drawers, and her cupboards. She has no secrets from Sam and she doesn't really mind.
For twenty years it works for them. Even though Ava has to keep a secret. One that if Sam ever found out..it would cost her more than she is willing to give up.
Until Ava asks Sam to help her get rid of a guy who's interested in her by posing as her boyfriend. Cliche, right? Maybe, and a little cheesy too, but it works in this story.
A kiss, one like Ava has never experienced, but always wanted happens. The kiss makes the interested guy disappear, but it also makes powerful feelings come to the surface for both Sam and Ava.
At this point, I'm thinking that the book is going to enter the same ole, girl loves guy, guy runs away. But that isn't what happens.
Together Sam and Ava have to decide if making a go at something that could be very fulfilling is worth the fight, or should they just go they're separate ways and lick their wounds.
Touch & Go is a sweet, sexy fulfilling read that will make your heart hurt, your face crack with a smile and make you sigh at the end.
