This story was amazing. I was already in love with this series, and this one didn't disappoint. I love all the characters in this series. They are so close to each other and always there for each other. Everyone is treated as family. The story of Colt and Alex has heartbreak, pain, and a pure love
Colt thought he would never have a family of his own, and would have to settle with spoiling his nieces and nephews. He has a pure heart and lives his family dearly.
Alex lost her love when he died, leaving her pregnant with their daughter. Her first attempt at dating after 4 years leaves her believing she will never trust another man.
Then she meets Colt on her way home to her parents. She can't make herself believe that the is a good man out there for her, so she goes to her parents.
Colt is not ready to let her go, so he follows her. He has to make her believe that he would never hurt her or her daughter, because he knows she is the one for him.

“I knew I’d have a hard time letting you go once I let you in”…LOVE!!! This was such a sweet southern love story that had me swooning right away. I fell in love with Colt and Alex the moment she ended up in that sleepy little town of his. Once Alex met Colt she knew…she knew that her life would never be the same again and that’s what had me with this book. I read this book as a standalone and it was fantastic. The author did a great job of bridging the characters from previous books and I was completely at ease while reading.
The characters were absolutely adorable and so easy to fall for. I loved the insecurity both characters felt for each other. Alex’s out of protection and Colt’s out of hurt. Watching them grow and flourish as friends and then finding themselves as a couple was great to watch. C.A. Harms did a good job of developing the characters and making me feel.
This book was a very comfortable read for me. There was minimal angst which allowed it to flow nicely. The book seemed a bit faced paced with character development but it did not affect my overall like for the book. This book was a cute little read.

On the run from an abusive relationship, Alexis and her little girl, Maddison, stumble into a diner in the small town of Brooklet where a nice, and seriously hot cowboy, pays for a meal for them. After deciding to stay in Brooklet, an older woman who she had seen at the diner, Anna, takes Alex and Maddie in. Alex is excited yet scared to see that her son,Colt, is the same kind mad that gave them a meal when they so desperately needed one. Can Alex push past the scars from her past and allow a man into her life and her heart?

Loving Colt was a cute story and an easy read. I really wanted to LOVE this book as the first two were amazing but unfortunately this one fell flat for me. I really adored the chemistry between Colt and Alexis and the Maddie/Colt scene had my ovaries exploding, however, the plot line really felt too cliché.

I wish that the author would have slowed down a bit and really developed these characters and their relationship further. The entire thing just felt rushed. The suspense part of it was anticlimactic and I just really wished for more.

Though I did not love this book, I did not hate it either. It had such great potential and was a very cute story about moving on and opening your heart.
