This story was as amazing as I thought it would be. I love a good emotional read. This story is full of compassion, spirit, and unconditional love.
Garrett has a heart of gold and Olivia is tough as nails. I did not see Garrett's character turning out that way and I am glad I was wrong. He has a big heart, great family, and would stop the world for Olivia. Olivia is a fighter. She is not going to give up. She loves everything about Garrett and they mesh together perfectly. But when tragedy strikes, she gets a new perspective. How can she drag Garrett down with her? She makes a decision that leaves both of them hurt and miserable. Can she salvage what she hopes she hasn't destroyed?

I first met Garrett in the first Cold Fury novel and I loved him then. Now, that he has his own book, HOLY SMOKES, I love him even more! Garrett Samuelson is the most amazing book boyfriend EVER! Not only is he this sexy, hockey player, which already puts him at a 9, but he is also funny, sweet, caring and compassionate. That just sky rockets him off the charts!
Garrett's reputation of a playboy is well known, even to Olivia. So, when they meet at a party and Garrett asks Olivia for a date, she turns him down. Garrett is shocked, no one ever turns him down and now he wont take no for an answer. Throughout the book you read about how the love of two people can make it through the good times and especially the hard times. Garrett and Olivia had one huge obstacle to over come in order to find their happily ever after.
I loved Olivia as well! She was sweet, compassionate, and witty. She could always keep Garrett guessing. She has so much determination and fight you would think she had the power to move mountains! This was such an amazing novel and it had the most amazing ending ever! I certainly was not disappointed!

FREAK’N Samuelson is an amazing piece of Cold Fury ass!!! He’s full of
non-commitment until the right lady walks into his life and makes him rethink things.
Playing the field, or rink in his case, doesn’t seem so great once Olivia Case
comes into the picture. I loved the ease of this book and how well written it
was. I read this book as a standalone and it was magnificent.
I loved these characters so hard. Tough
masculine Garrett was with no care for his extracurricular activities until the
day it all changed. She came into his life and his world was tipped on its axis
never to be righted again. Olivia’s life was changing dramatically before her
very eyes and she has no time for playing around. Until the moment she was
introduced to him, she never thought so much about playing a game in her life. Together
they overcame and fought for new life they both wanted together.
This book so courageous and strong. It was
written with so much care and love I couldn’t help but fall in love. From the
moment Garrett looked into Olivia’s mossy green eyes I could feel the
admiration he felt for her. Sawyer did a fantastic job at portraying the
storyline so authentically. She paid so much attention to detail and it showed.
I absolutely loved this book to pieces. It was an easy read for me and I
recommend it completely. 4 star read all the way.
