Let me start off by saying that this was a
total unexpected LOVE for me. I am not a fan of MC books…some say that it’s
because I have never read a really good one and maybe they are right. But this
was Tillie Cole so I couldn’t say no. I am so glad I started this series
because it literally BLEW MY MIND and changed everything I thought I hated
about MC books!! It Ain’t Me Babe
made me fall head over heels for the rough and harsh world of the motor cycle
club life and Heart Recaptured
solidified that passion for understanding their lifestyle.
This book was SO FREAK’N AMAZING ON SO MANY
LEVELS!!! I mean its complexity had me guessing and wondering what in the world
these characters were going to do next. The character dynamic was as harsh and
unfeeling as it was mystical and beautiful. I felt every last breath each
character had for each other and themselves. The utter fight for good VS. evil
was played out on such a basic humanistic level that that I couldn’t help but
feel everything Lilah and Ky wrestled with. These characters were brilliantly
planned and brought so much balance to this book.
Oh and the whole motor cycle club alongside
the religious group…HOLY HELL!!! That kind of angst is so worthy of a serious
glass of wine. I mean OMG was that an amazing level of drama. Not only are
these characters trying to find themselves on their own AND find a way to be
together, BUT now you have what seems like to world fighting against them
too??? And not just any world but the
descendent of GOD himself. This plot line was intricately woven and threaded so
many characters that I was literally entranced and compelled to read this all
in one sitting.
Tillie brought an amazing level of bad ass
to go up against bad guy that I was literally screaming at the kindle screen!
It was so hard to believe that a MC club could be so crude and unfriendly and
yet show the kind of emotion these frail characters so desperately needed. Then
she goes and brings in the big guns with religious nut bags and the Klan….
Again the amount of research and care she put into this book is 100% seen and
appreciated.
I 100% recommend this series and this book
especially! 5 star read on every level. Tillie has never written anything I
didn’t crave to devour and truly appreciate. I am so happy I placed my MC faith
in this woman because she proved to me that it’s not the genre but it is the
author that can make a book something amazing. This book far exceeded my
expectation for the MC genre and my love for Tillie. I am so happy for her and
the release of this series because it just reminds me that SHE CAN DO ANYTHING
AND IT WILL ALWAYS BE BRILLIANT!

WOW! Such an amazing book. I fell in love with It Ain't Me Babe and it has happened again with Heart Recaptured. I love how the story brings you in. Tillie has a way of writing that grips you and doesn't let go. The detail in this story is great. Lilah's struggle with being in a world she doesn't know, while still holding on to her beliefs had me in tears. The love that Ky has for Lilah is beautiful. I suggest that everyone read this series!

Best Selling Author, Tillie Cole, is a Northern girl through and through. She
originates from a place called Teesside on that little but awesomely sunny
(okay I exaggerate) Isle called Great Britain. She was brought up surrounded by
her English rose mother -- a farmer's daughter, her crazy Scottish father, a
savagely sarcastic sister and a multitude of rescue animals and horses.
Being a scary blend of
Scottish and English, Tillie embraces both cultures; her English heritage
through her love of HP sauce and freshly made Yorkshire Puddings, and her
Scottish which is mostly demonstrated by her frighteningly foul-mouthed
episodes of pure rage and her much loved dirty jokes.
Having been born and
raised as a Teesside Smoggie, Tillie, at age nineteen, moved forty miles north
to the 'Toon', Newcastle-Upon-Tyne, where she attended Newcastle University and
graduated with a Bachelor of Arts honours degree in Religious
Studies. She returned two years later to complete a Post-Graduate Certificate
in Teaching High School Social Studies. Tillie, regards Newcastle
to be a home from home and enjoyed the Newcastle Geordie way of life for seven
'proper mint' and 'lush' years.
One summers day, after
finishing reading her thousandth book on her much loved and treasured Kindle,
Tillie turned to her husband and declared, "D'you know, I have a great idea
for a story. I could write a book." Several months later, after repeating
the same tired line at the close of another completed story, she was scolded by
her husband to shut up talking about writing a novel and "just bloody do
it!" For the first time in eleven years, Tillie actually took his advice
(he is still trying to get over the shock) and immediately set off on a crazy
journey, delving deep into her fertile imagination.
Tillie, ever since, has
written from the heart. She combines her passion for anything camp and glittery
with her love of humour and dark brooding men (most often muscled and tattooed – they’re her weakness!). She also
has a serious side (believe it or not!) and loves to immerse herself in the
complex study of World Religions, History and Cultural Studies and creates
fantasy stories that enable her to thread serious issues and topics
into her writing -- yep, there's more to this girl than profanity and sparkles!
After six years of
teaching high school Social Studies and following her Professional Rugby Player
husband around Europe, they have finally given up their nomadic way of life and
settled in Calgary, Alberta where Tillie spends most of her days (and many a
