Lock & Key by Cat Porter ~ FMR REVIEW

I suppose some of us have to get really dirty before we can become truly clean.

I was allegedly South Dakota’s most famous old lady.
Sixteen years ago I survived my old man’s murder

Never again.
Never again will I surrender my heart.
Never again will I sacrifice to the Club.

But that all changed in one night.

I came home and crashed into him,
and my past and present blew up in my face.
Both of us lonely, running on empty, and unwilling to admit it.

Until now.
Now I feel things I’d forgotten about, want things I’d cut out of my insides.

Love not only stings when you lose it, when it’s ripped away from you.
When it first sinks its teeth in you, it can cut just as raw and sting just as deep.

I’d forgotten that.

Who holds the keys to betrayal? To suspicion? To trust?
To brotherhood? To family?
To redemption and a bleeding heart?
Right now, I just might.

 Review By Leeann

This is one of those book that you need to be careful when you are reading it.. I would not recommend reading it at time like when you are having a family movie night, or when you are getting the kids ready for school or even in the lunch room at work. The reason being that you may find yourself with silent tears running down your face or even sobbing out loud at the most inappropriate moments!
You may also find yourself unable to tear yourself away from it long enough to get the kids off to school or sport or get back to work from your lunch break on time!!
Yeah it was that good!!!!

This is a story about Grace & Miller (AKA Lock). Grace was young when she lost both her parents, one through abandonment & the other to death in a car accident. She and her older sister Ruby, were left behind and only had each other. Even though Ruby ran with the wrong crowd & got herself into trouble, they were super close andnothing could break their bond. Unfortunately life does not go to plan and through a tragic murder, grace loses not just her husband, but also her unborn baby. She disappears and makes a life for herself, moving around frequently. She and Ruby remain close though and Ruby is now married with a child.

16 years later, Ruby is sick & Grace needs to come home…
On her way home she stops overnight at a motel and while in the bar across the road she meets Miller. They have a hot and wild night and in the morning she notices his ring.. She has seen it before. The man that owned it was like a big brother to her and he is also dead. He was part of her also dead husbands MC the One-Eyed Jacks. All of a sudden her past comes crashing onto her present.
Yep Grace was an old lady and her dead husband Dig was MC officer.
After meeting Grace, Miller felt like all his dreams had come true. But when he wakes up in the morning she is gone. A few days later she appears at the club and is welcomed like family. Then he realises who she is. Miller was unwanted and unloved from the time he was born. Eventually he went to live with his brother Wreck at the One-Eyed Jacks MC and his life takes a turn for the better. He ends up joining the armed forces & while he is on deployment overseas, his brother is killed. His life has never been the same. He feels he is destined to be alone forever but is at peace with that because he has the brotherhood of his MC.
The more Miller and Grace get to know each other, the closer they get & things change for them both. They need to find a way to move past their demons & have a beautiful future together.

Grace and Millers story is full of ups and downs, lots of secrets & of course the main ingredients to make an MC story worth reading, lots of hot men, hot sexy scenes & lots of drama!

This book has it all. There are no cheesy moments just lots of gritty raw moments that will leave you wanting more! If you enjoy reading books about the MC world you will love this one!!  So, so worth the read!!

This one deserves way more than 5 stars!!
