Well I have to say I will never pass up the chance to read a Jessica Daniels book!!
Sweet Possession continues the story of Dylan Sparks & Reece Carroll. In true Jessica Daniels style this story has you laughing in one moment & needing a fan or ice water the next because not only is the story funny but it’s so damn steamy!!
Reece is so possessive and dominant when it comes to Dylan. He doesn’t like anyone to even look at her!! I guess you could say he is obsessive. And Dylan loves this side of him. She absolutely goes out of her way to push his buttons and bring out that side of him. Reece & Dylan’s relationship is complex, but it is simple. They love and adore each other.
In Sweet Possession they are planning their wedding, with the help of course from Jules & Joey. Dylan Jules & Joey have been best friends forever & the antics they get up to are hilarious. They will have you laughing all the way through. Then there is Jules sister Brooke, she is new to the group of friends & takes a bit of warming up to, but once she finds her place she is as fun filled & as fiercely loyal as the rest of them.
Due to one of Reece’s business deals Dylan ends up in a position where she is very uncomfortable & in a little bit of danger.. Her friends are never far away & Reece has an instinct that kicks in whenever Dylan needs him and he more often than not, sweeps in to save the day. They perfectly balance each other. He is very serious & she likes to play & have fun. They are a perfect combination.
The way the characters have developed from book 1 ‘Sweet Addiction’ is brilliant. Both Dylan & Reece have grown into their relationship & are learning to better deal with situations as they come up. They still have their little moments but it is nice to see they are developing rather than staying the same & reacting the same as book 1.
I love the chemistry between Reece & Dylan & when you add is all the friends it makes for a stellar cast & a brilliant fun filled sexy story!!
The ending is beautiful & the epilogue from Reece’s POV was exactly the perfect way to finish off their story!!
If you have read book 1 I would highly recommend you get your hands on book 2, and even if you haven’t I would recommend reading Sweet Possession anyway because it if funny, it has angst, it has sweet & tender & it has hot & steamy.. A perfect combination for a fantastic read!!
