BLURRED By Kim Karr ~ BLOG TOUR STOP & REVIEW

BLURRED EXCERPT:

An excerpt from BLURRED is posted on Kim Karr website:

BLURRED SYNOPSIS:

The story before the love story….

When he lost the only woman he’d ever loved, it seemed there was nothing left to live for.

Even as a boy, all Ben Covington ever wanted was to spend forever with Dahlia London, the beautiful girl next door...then one life-altering decision tore them apart and he was forced to leave her.

Now, despite having returned to win her back, he’s still alone. She’s with someone else—someone she’s never going to leave.

Resigned to a future without his former girlfriend, Ben numbs his broken heart in a haze of liquor and women. But then the only woman who ever even turned his head while he was with his girl reappears unexpectedly. And he’s never forgotten their one incredible night together. But will Ben’s destructive behavior destroy his future with her before it even begins?

Review By Cristina

We finally get to know more about Ben Covington in Blurred. He had it all until the one decision made him loose everything and more! This is a great novella to get into Ben’s mind on the thoughts and decisions he made and the action and reaction to his choices. A look before the love story where there were moments in there that even had my mouth dropped with shock!

A 4 stars rating must read for fans of the Connections Series! This book for me was a sneak peak of what is yet to come in his spin-off novel “Frayed” scheduled for release in early September.

Kim Karr soared past my expectations of this novella. Blurred is the beginning of Ben Covington's story. While many out there dislike him with a passion, I've always secretly liked him a little bit. At the beginning of Connected, he and Dahlia are together. I loved them together. He was sweet and romantic, and it seemed like he truly loved Dahlia. But, if you've read the series, you know what happens. Ben "dies" and Dahlia moves on with River to find her happily ever after.

In Blurred, we see Ben trying to find himself again. After being gone for a few years and then his mother's sudden death, he's lost himself. He doesn't know where to go. I loved seeing him come back into himself, and coming back to what he truly loves, surfing and writing. Ben is a very dynamic character. While he goes into a dark hole after his mother's death, he realizes what he has to do to get out. This whole process paints a picture for what we can expect more of in Frayed. Kimhas made me really fall for Ben in Blurred, and I can't wait to get more of him with Frayed. Thank you, Kim, for continuing to write a beautiful series that I fall more in love with after every story.

I wasn't really interested in reading about Ben, he was the so called bad guy in the series!! Once I started reading I really started to understand his choices. I enjoyed reading about Ben and loved how Kim Karr got into his head and really showed us a different side to him. You get a real look into his life drama and why he choice the decisions he made. By the end of the novella I wanted more, more, more!!! I can't wait to read Frayed and see what is install for Ben.
