Fixed On You by Laurelin Paige - BLOG STOP, REVIEW & GIVEAWAY

Title: Fixed On You
Series: Fixed #1
Author: Laurelin Paige
Publication Date: June 23, 2013

Synopsis: Stalking and restraining orders are a thing of Alayna Wither’s past. With her MBA newly in hand, she has her future figured out—move up at the nightclub she works at and stay away from any guy who might trigger her obsessive love disorder. A perfect plan.

But what Alayna didn’t figure on is Hudson Pierce, the new owner of the nightclub. He’s smart, rich, and gorgeous—the kind of guy Alayna knows to stay away from if she wants to keep her past tendencies in check. Except, Hudson’s fixed his sights on her. He wants her in his bed and makes no secret of it.

Avoiding him isn’t an option after he offers a business proposition she can’t turn down and she’s drawn further into his universe, unable to resist his gravitational pull. When she learns Hudson has a dark history of his own, she realizes too late that she’s fallen for the worst man she could possibly get involved with. Or maybe their less than ideal pasts give them an opportunity to heal each other and finally find the love their lives have been missing.

HOT SEXY SEDUCTIVE
This story captivated me from the start.  I loved it, I just couldn’t put it down.

Hudson Pierce is SEXY in every sense of the word.  A wealthy alpha male who ALWAYS gets what he wants.  He is damaged – incapable of love.  His past is tainted by his former behaviors and actions towards others, but he is trying to be a better person now and he has his eyes set on Alayna (Laynie).

Laynie is a smart, young, attractive woman who is also damaged by her past.  She has obsessive stalker tendencies towards men and loves too much and too hard when she gets involved and it has earned her trouble in the past.  Her family issues add to her pain and stress.  She is now on the straight and narrow and making a good life for herself.

She works at the Sky Launch Club which Hudson is now the new owner.  Hudson is drawn to her.  He wants her.  Their initial meeting is intense as feelings are brought to the surface for Laynie.  Laynie is thrown by his presence at the bar.

Once Laynie finds out that Hudson is the new owner, she is thrown into a spin by her feelings.  She can’t attach herself again… she can’t become what she used to be.

But Hudson makes it hard.  He has a proposition for her which she cannot refuse.  To be his “fake” girlfriend to get his bitch of a mother off his back.  In return, Hudson will clear her student loans.  Hudson is honest and up front with Laynie, telling her that it is a business deal and that he is incapable of love.  But he also tells her that he wants her and that he will have her.

“This pretend relationship – to what extent would I be expected to perform?”
“Don’t pussy foot about it.  You’re asking about sex.”  His eyes darkened again.
“I never pay for sex Alyana.  When I fuck you, it will be for free.”

She accepts the proposal but during their time together, she becomes confused as to what is real and what is fake.  They put on a show for the public and his family, but behind closed doors, Hudson devours her endlessly.
The sex is smoking hot.  Hudson’s words had me melting in my seat.  I was swooning over him the whole time I was reading.  As damaged as they might both be, they sizzled the pages when they made love.

I was fascinated reading about these two damaged souls battling past difficulties and helping each other in the process.  It was intense and shocking at times and the dialogue between all the characters was brilliant.  I adored the way Hudson spoke to Laynie and I especially loved how Laynie spoke to Hudson’s mum.  She gave as good as she got.

If you are looking for a captivating, sexy read, then get yourself a copy.

About Laurelin: Laurelin Paige is the NY Times and USA Today Bestselling Author of the Fixed Trilogy. She's a sucker for a good romance and gets giddy anytime there's kissing, much to the embarrassment of her three daughters. Her husband doesn't seem to complain, however. When she isn't reading or writing sexy stories, she's probably singing, watching Mad Men and the Walking Dead, or dreaming of Adam Levine.
