In the game of love… Fun-loving and always the life of the party, Kevin Morgan isn’t looking for a serious relationship. His light-hearted, playful attitude attracts many a female, and he enjoys their company. That is until their beautiful eyes turn starry, and they start talking marriage and kids. He just hasn’t encountered that one person that would make him even consider heading down the road to potential matrimony until... Katy Martin comes to town for an extended stay with his best friend and sister-in- law, Tori. Like Kevin, Katy is focused on her career and isn’t searching for a long term relationship. Already friends, Katy and Kevin find themselves spending more and more time together. Their adventurous spirits prove to be more than compatible. They are combustible. More than a snowstorm is brewing as attraction draws them together and desire starts a fire of burning need. Will trust issues and her belief that Kevin is just out to win the game of conquest hold Katy back, or will Kevin be able to prove to her that he is playing for keeps this time?

NOTE: Even though this is the second book in the series, it can be read as a stand alone novel

“Okay, Morgan. Fun’s over. You’re the winner of this round.” Katy grumbled as she attempted to regain her balance by swinging her legs the rest of the way onto the couch. Unfortunately Kevin’s legs had to follow, which put them completely horizontal on the couch with her body melded to his. Her eyes widened this time not in surprise, but in recognition of the reaction that had been created in the lower regions of Kevin’s body that Katy could feel pressing against her abdomen through her thin pajama shorts. “Oh, I’ll have to disagree with you there, Martin. “ He said teasingly with a sensual tone. Her senses went on high alert as his hands moved upwards on her legs to her backside. They cupped her bottom and stilled as he said “I think the fun is just getting started.”

Coming Home (book 1)

I absolutely loved this book! Be ready to laugh a lot and cry a little.
Victoria (Tori) Winslow has come back to Oak Creek, Illinois after the death of the
grandmother who raised her. Tori feels alone as she must deal with her grandmother’s estate.

She would be truly alone if it were not for the Morgan family, the neighbors. Tori is like the daughter the Morgan family never had. Tori is also the best friend of the youngest son, Kevin. There are no secrets between Tori and Kevin except one. Tori has always had a crush on Drue, Kevin’s older brother and kissed him on the night of their high school graduation party. Coming back to Oak Creek gives Tori the change to put Drue firmly where he belongs – in her past. Or does it? Tori wonders if opposites do really attract. Can she convince Drue to give them a chance? Can she have a relationship with Drue and not ruin her friendship with Kevin? Only time will tell their story.

Playing for Keeps (book 2)

I couldn’t wait to read this book! The laughter and tears continue as we keep following
the story of the extended Morgan family. This story takes place 1-2 years after Coming Home.
Kevin Morgan, Tori’s childhood best friend and Katy Martin, her adult best friend are
unlikely allies when Tori has a health crisis. Katy drops everything during the holiday season to
rush back to Oak Creek and support her friend during her time of need. Kevin and Katy are repeatedly thrown together while taking care of Tori and getting ready for the holiday. They both feel the growing attraction and do their best to ignore it. Katy knows there are hidden depths to Kevin and she longs to throw caution to the wind but she hears the clock ticking on her time in Oak Creek. Kevin knows he wants Katy for keeps and races against the clock to convince her to stay and love him.

Both books can be read as stand-alones or as part of the series.  Both were funny, had a part or two where I cried but when everything was said and done - left me with a very heartwarming feeling.  I think back on the books and smile.

5 stars for both books

Wife and mother of three daughters and one son, life is never dull. I fell in love with the written word as a young girl. My enchantment with the act of falling in love was cemented after reading Pride and Prejudice in the 10th grade. I love being able to crawl inside a book as if I am a bystander watching it all unfold live. Now that’s a good book! My desire is to share my fictional friends with you so that they become your friends too! When you read my books, if you don’t end it by saying “Best Imaginary Friends EVER!” then I haven’t done what I set out to do.

  1. What's the craziest thing you've done for love? Well, as sad as it makes me I don't think I've ever been truly, truly in love. But knowing the feelings i have had I know that when i do find true honest love, i'd do just about any crazy thing i had to to. Happy Reading.
